Administrative/Biographical History:
Harry Kimura left Japan in 1904 and settled in Anchorage in 1914 with his wife, Katsuyo. The
couple ran several businesses, including Snow White Laundry and Chop Suey House. The
Kimuras had five children: Frank, born 1914; George, born 1916; Louise, born 1918; Bill, born
1920; and Sam, born 1928.
Scope and Content Description:
The collection consists of one color postcard of the interior of the Nikko Garden restaurant,
published by Ward W. Wells; and one black-and-white studio portrait of George, Louise, Bill,
and Sam Kimura.
