Administrative/Biographical History:
The cabin that would become the Log Cabin Visit Anchorage Information Center was designed
by Edwin Crittenden; individual pieces were cut by Otis Russell and Bob Cole at the sawmill of
“Cap” King, a builder in Homer, Alaska; and the whole was then assembled in Anchorage at
the corner of Fourth Avenue and F Street.
Scope and Content Description:
The collection consists of four color photographs of the construction of the log cabin that
became the Log Cabin Visit Anchorage Information Center. Print date on verso is January 24,
1955.

Physical Access: Original items in fair condition, with significant fading.
