Name of creator(s): Charley Crowley

Administrative/Biographical History:
Charley Crowley was born in what is now known as Little Diomede, Alaska. He lived at
various times in the Alaskan towns of Sinuk, Wales, and Nome. He was married several times
and had at least two families. He served with the Alaska Territorial Guard in Nome during
World War II. He died circa 1946.

Scope and Content Description:
Alaska Territorial Guard Oath and Certificate of Enrollment of Charley Crowley, signed by
Nome Company Commander Garnet W. Martin and Governor Ernest Gruening, dated August
21, 1942.
