Scope and Contents

The Zappa collection consists of photographs primarily of a Feather Merchant’s
Ball, and Alaskan scenic views. Photograph of the Feather Merchant’s Ball include
people at the bar, in the “chow line”, a poster, and a group photo. Other photographs
include Third and Fourth Avenues of Anchorage, Elmendorf civilian quarters and
buildings, Circle Hot Springs, Palmer, Arctic Valley, Eureka roadhouse, Gulkana,
Independence Mine, Matanuska Valley Farm, Merrill Field, Placer mine, and Ship Creek.
