Clarence L. and Marjorie Olson Collection. 470 photographs. 1945-1952

Mr. and Mrs. Clarence L. Olson lived on St. Paul Island from 1945 until about 1952. Mr.
Olson was Assistant Manager, then Manager, of the fur-Seal Administration for the
United States Fish and Wildlife Service. The couple moved to Dungeness, WA, about
1952.

This collection consists of 470 photographs. Images from the village of St. Paul include
buildings, docks and boats, activities, village children, people, seals and sea lions, and
aircraft. Images from other Alaska locations include villages, animals and birds, boats,
fishing, people, airplanes, scenery, and Olson family photographs.

This collection was donated to the Museum in 1990.
